You have ideas. You have desires, some of them years old. You know that you want something else from your working life, or something more. And still you stay where you are. You think about it in the evening, you make a plan, and in the morning nothing has moved.
Being stuck isn't laziness, and it isn't a lack of talent. Something in you wants to go, and something in you is holding the brake. As long as you only push harder, the brake holds harder too.
These eight chapters look at the brake instead. You see why you're stuck and where the blocks sit. You explore the beliefs that tell you what's possible for you, and the control you keep over every detail and every outcome. You practise letting that control go. Then you fill your heart and your desires with love, listen for your true calling, and take a first step.
Each chapter ends in the temple. The reading helps you understand. The meditation is where understanding turns into something you feel, and where love takes the place of fear.
Nothing here asks you to resign, to risk what keeps you and your family safe, or to decide anything quickly. This is a companion to practical advice, not a replacement for it. If being stuck has turned into a heaviness or a hopelessness that doesn't lift, talk to a doctor, a therapist or someone you trust.
Go slowly, one chapter at a time. Keep a pen and a notebook beside you. You'll need them.
